  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup Can replace with a homemade cream sauce or reduced-fat soup.
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese Opt for low-fat or dairy-free cheese if desired.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked.
  • In a separate pot, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until tender. Drain and combine with beef in a large mixing bowl.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup until the noodles and beef are fully coated.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For added nutrition, consider tossing in chopped bell peppers, mushrooms, or peas. To spice it up, add crushed red pepper flakes. Sautéing onions with beef can enhance the flavor.
