Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head Cauliflower Fresh and vibrant, the star of our show.
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour Helps the sauce stick and adds to that delightful crust.
  • 1/2 cup Water or plant-based milk For a dairy-free option, choose almond or oat milk.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Adds depth and savoriness to the batter.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder A hint of sweetness that balances the spicy notes.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Enhances all the flavors.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Just a pinch for that extra zing.
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo sauce The heart and soul of this dish, igniting the palate with fiery goodness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, water (or plant-based milk), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring they’re well-coated. Shake off the excess.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the battered florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  • After 12 minutes, remove the cauliflower and toss them in the buffalo sauce until well coated.
  • Return them to the air fryer for an additional 5–8 minutes, until they’re golden and crispy.
  • Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for that extra indulgence!

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute the all-purpose flour with almond flour or a gluten-free blend. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to your batter for an extra kick! Let the cauliflower rest for a couple of minutes before serving; this helps the flavors meld beautifully.
