Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Toss in the chicken thighs and coat them well. Allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
  • Set the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) to preheat.

Cooking

  • Place the marinated chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded for even cooking.
  • Air fry for 18-20 minutes, flipping midway to ensure the chicken cooks evenly.
  • Check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C) using a meat thermometer.

Serving

  • Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For added spice, consider adding cayenne pepper or smoked paprika to the marinade. You can also toss veggies in the air fryer with the chicken for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for future meals.
