Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined) Fresh is best for flavor; frozen works too if that’s what you have.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil A light coating gives the shrimp a lovely golden hue. Use coconut oil for a tropical twist.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Fresh garlic adds depth; substitute with garlic powder for convenience.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika For a hint of smokiness; cayenne can be added for extra heat.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Enhances all flavors; feel free to use sea salt or low-sodium options.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground brings a lovely warmth; omit if sensitive to spice.
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish) A sprinkle at the end brightens up the dish and adds color.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the shrimp is well-coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Cooking

  • Place the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the air fryer and transfer to a serving plate.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the shrimp cool completely, then keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 4–5 minutes to restore crispiness.
