Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until smooth.
  • Gradually fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Add the chopped bacon to the mixture.
  • Pour in the ranch dressing, garlic powder, and onion powder. Fold all ingredients together until well mixed.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, and sprinkle fresh chives or green onions on top.
  • Serve with crunchy tortilla chips, fresh vegetables, or crackers.

Notes

Let the dip sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld. Try different cheeses or serve in a homemade bread bowl for a unique touch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
