  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream (if using). Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually add the ranch dressing mix, folding it in gently to maintain the lovely texture.
  • Stir in the crumbled bacon and chopped green onions, mixing until evenly distributed.
  • Taste your spread and adjust seasoning if necessary. You’re looking for a flavor that dances lightly on your palate.
  • Transfer the spread to a serving dish and cover it with plastic wrap. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (if you can wait that long!).

Notes
