  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon Choose thick-cut for better texture.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Adds warmth and depth.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season shrimp according to taste.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well-coated.
  • Cut each slice of bacon in half. Wrap one piece around each shrimp, securing it with a toothpick.
  • Place the wrapped shrimp on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, making sure they are evenly spaced.

Cooking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are cooked through (they should turn pink and opaque).
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Remove toothpicks, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve warm.

Notes

Tips: Add a dash of cayenne for heat, or brush with honey and sriracha before baking for a sweet-and-spicy twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
