Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Place them in a baking dish.

Cooking

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once it begins to sizzle, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant—about 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour the garlic butter mixture over the seasoned chicken, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  • Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella on top.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
  • Remove from the oven, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes.
