Ingredients
  

For the salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets skin-on or skinless – skin-on is preferred for extra flavor
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar adjust to taste for sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated for additional zing
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced for flavor enhancement
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil adds depth and nutty aroma
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped green onions to sprinkle on top for brightness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, honey or brown sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Stir well until combined.
  • Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over the fish, ensuring it is well-coated. Let marinate for about 10 minutes.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the marinated salmon fillets, skin side down, on the sheet. Drizzle the remaining marinade over the fillets.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the top is a vibrant, caramelized color.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven to maintain moisture.
