  • 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce Use your favorite brand or homemade variety.
  • 2 cups Potato Chips Plain or BBQ-flavored for added crunch. Baked chips are a healthier option.
  • 1 large Egg For coating the chicken.
  • 1/2 cup Flour For a slight crisp.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper To enhance the flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Set up a dredging station: one bowl with flour mixed with salt and pepper, another bowl with the beaten egg, and a third bowl filled with crushed potato chips.
  • Dip each chicken tender first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally coat them with the crushed potato chips.
  • Lay the coated chicken tenders on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring space between each.

Cooking

  • Bake the tenders for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • In the last 5 minutes of cooking, brush the tenders generously with BBQ sauce and return to the oven.

Serving

  • Serve hot from the oven and enjoy!

Notes

For spicy variations, add cayenne pepper to the flour mix. Consider using fresh herbs in the coating for flavor.
