Main Ingredients

  • 2-4 pieces Lobster Tails Look for large, fresh tails for juicy texture. Frozen is acceptable if fresh isn't available.
  • ½ cup Butter Unsalted is best to control flavor.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Adds a lovely aromatic quality.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice For brightness and a zesty kick.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Use smoked paprika for a deeper flavor.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
  • for garnish Chives Adds freshness and a pop of color.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the Broiler: Set your oven rack about 6 inches from the top and get your broiler roaring hot.
  • Prepare the Lobster: Using kitchen scissors, cut the top of each lobster tail down the middle, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull the meat up and out, resting it on top of the shell.
  • Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Brush the Lobster: Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and generously brush the garlic butter sauce over the meat.
  • Broil: Pop the baking sheet under the broiler for about 10-12 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and firm.
  • Garnish: Remove from the oven, sprinkle with freshly chopped chives, and a final brush of butter if desired.

Notes

If looking for a dairy-free option, try using olive oil instead of butter for a lighter twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
