Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni This classic shape holds cheese sauce perfectly.
  • 1 pound lean ground beef Adds the heartiness of a traditional cheeseburger.
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar Because no cheeseburger is complete without it!
  • 1 cup whole milk Gives creaminess to the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds a touch of warmth and depth.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For that familiar burger flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Brings a slight tanginess that elevates the dish.
  • Salt & Pepper To taste.

Optional Add-ins

  • Diced tomatoes
  • Green bell peppers
  • Sprinkle of bacon bits For added crunch.

Instructions

Cooking the Pasta

  • In a large pot, cook the macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef

  • In the same pot over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Make the Sauce

  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  • Once combined, add the cheese gradually, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.

Combine

  • Gently fold in the cooked macaroni until well coated in the creamy cheese sauce.

Serve

  • Plate the Cheeseburger Macaroni and sprinkle any additional add-ins of your choice before serving.

Notes

For healthier options, use ground turkey or chicken and swap half of the macaroni for zucchini noodles or whole grain pasta.
