  • 1 packet Ranch Seasoning Mix Homemade seasoning can also work.
  • 1-2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded A mix of sharp and mild can elevate the taste.
  • 1 cup Sour Cream Substitute with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • 2-3 tbsp Olive Oil Helps crisp up the potatoes and enhance flavors.
  • Salt and Pepper To taste, elevating the overall flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash and cube the potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss until well coated.
  • Add in the sliced smoked sausage and mix just until combined.

Cooking

  • Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This dish keeps well and tastes even better the next day. Great for meal prep. For additional flavor, consider adding seasonal vegetables or different types of sausage.
