  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs (Thyme or Parsley) Dried herbs can be used if fresh isn’t available.

Cooking Steps

  • Prepare the Chicken: Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  • Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken, cooking for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter, then toss in minced garlic and shallots. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  • Deglaze with Wine: Pour in the white wine, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Simmer and reduce for 3-5 minutes.
  • Make the Sauce: Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let it simmer gently for a few minutes until thickened.
  • Add Chicken: Place the chicken back in the skillet with the sauce, spooning the creamy goodness over the top. Cook for another minute or two until heated through.
  • Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with freshly chopped herbs and serve hot.

Notes

Tip: Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for heat or toss in mushrooms for an earthy touch. Consider adding lemon zest before serving for brightness.
