Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Leave a few chunks for added texture if you like!
  • Mix in the melted butter until well combined.
  • Add the vanilla extract and the egg, whisking until everything is incorporated.
  • Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then mix thoroughly.
  • Gradually fold in the sugar and flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Baking
