  • 1 pound Fresh Spinach Choose vibrant green, fresh leaves.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For rich depth of flavor.

  • 1 cup Heavy Cream For creamy texture.
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Brings out the flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg Enhances the creamy sauce.
  • Salt and Pepper To taste.

Preparation

  • Wash and rinse the fresh spinach leaves. Pat dry, then roughly chop them.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the chopped spinach to the skillet. Stir until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow it to simmer gently for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in the grated parmesan cheese and season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg. Cook for another few minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.

Serving

  • Pour into a serving dish and enjoy your creamed spinach while it's warm and creamy.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, swap heavy cream with full-fat coconut milk or use a mix of Greek yogurt. Nutritional yeast can be used as a substitute for parmesan cheese.
