  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken Feel free to use rotisserie chicken for a shortcut.
  • 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup You could also use homemade if you’re feeling adventurous.
  • 1 cup sour cream For that luscious creaminess.
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables Peas and carrots are classic.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Because cheese makes everything better.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Or fresh minced garlic for an extra kick.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 32 oz bag frozen tater tots The star of the show!
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mixed vegetables, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until fully blended.
  • Transfer this creamy mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • Evenly layer the frozen tater tots over the chicken mixture.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously on top.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This casserole keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container. You can also freeze it (unbaked) for up to 2 months.
