Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Cooking the Chicken

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to combine, and scrape any brown bits from the bottom of the pan for added flavor.
  • Gradually mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and thicken the sauce beautifully.

Final Steps

  • Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, coating each breast with the creamy sauce and letting it simmer for 2-3 minutes so the flavors meld.
  • Plate the chicken, spoon the creamy garlic sauce over the top, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Consider adding sautéed spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrients. For a bit of heat, incorporate crushed red pepper flakes.
