  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Use your favorite brand or homemade.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Adds flavor and moisture.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder For aromatic depth.
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder Enhances savory notes.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes For added heat.

Preparation

  • Place the boneless chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle them generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Cooking

  • Pour the BBQ sauce and chicken broth over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated.
  • Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  • Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot, mixing it into the sauce until well coated.

Serving

  • Serve right from the crockpot or transfer to a platter, drizzling more BBQ sauce on top if desired.

Notes

For healthier options, use sugar-free BBQ sauce. You can also add veggies or experiment with different proteins.
