  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup Adds creaminess; homemade version can be used.
  • 1 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be substituted for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Try pepper jack for a spicy kick.
  • 1 bag Doritos (about 10-12 oz) Nacho cheese flavor works best.
  • 1/2 cup milk Almond milk can be used for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning Homemade seasoning brings extra freshness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, taco seasoning, and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir until well mixed.
  • Fold in the crushed Doritos, reserving some for the topping.
  • Pour the chicken mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese generously over the mixture, followed by the reserved Doritos on top.

Cooking

  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a healthier twist, swap out half the Doritos for crushed veggies or whole-grain chips. Top with fresh avocado or cilantro before serving for added flavor.
