For the filling

  • 2 cups 2 cups fresh broccoli florets Or swap with spinach for a different flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add broccoli florets and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and nutmeg until frothy and well combined.
  • Place the pre-made pie crust in a pie dish. Spread the sautéed broccoli evenly on the bottom, then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the broccoli and cheese.

Baking

  • Place your quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  • Remove the quiche and let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

You can add cooked bacon, ham, or smoked salmon for extra flavor. Fresh herbs like dill, thyme, or chives can also enhance the dish. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
