Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, toss the grated Gruyère and Emmental cheeses with cornstarch to keep the fondue silky.
  • In a fondue pot, rub the inside with the cut clove of garlic, then discard the clove.
  • Pour the dry white wine into the pot and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

Cooking

  • Gradually add the cheese mixture, stirring constantly until fully melted and creamy.
  • Stir in fresh lemon juice and nutmeg to enhance flavors.

Serving

  • Transfer to your fondue pot and keep warm, ready for dipping.

Notes

Keep it warm on low heat to maintain the creamy texture. Use quality cheese for the best flavor. Have a few napkins handy for dipping.
