Cooking Procedure

  • Start by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Cook until the onions are translucent and mushrooms are tender, around 5 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture, stirring well to coat. This step will give your stroganoff that desired thickness.
  • Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring, ensuring there are no lumps.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly for about 5 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat, and stir in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until the sauce is creamy and well combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot over cooked egg noodles or rice, and enjoy!
