Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). The anticipation begins!
  • Prepare your loaf pan: Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until they’re smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in the melted butter, mixing until combined.
  • Add in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, blending until the mixture is well combined.
  • Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt; mix well.
  • Carefully fold in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

Store wrapped in plastic for up to 3 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to 3 months. Always use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
