Preparation

  • Finely chop the salmon into small pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, Dijon mustard, parsley, garlic, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape them into patties.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.

Cooking

  • Place the salmon patties on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through and has grill marks.
  • Remove from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

For gluten-free, swap breadcrumbs with crushed gluten-free crackers. Try different herbs for variation. Serve with fresh salad or grilled vegetables for a lighter option.
