  • 4 slices Provolone Cheese Feel free to substitute with mozzarella or vegan cheese.
  • 4 Hoagie Rolls Use gluten-free rolls if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil To sauté the veggies and meat.
  • Salt and Pepper For seasoning to taste.

Cooking Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced onion and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they are tender and fragrant.
  • Push the veggies to the side and add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Once the beef is cooked, fold the veggies back in and layer the provolone cheese on top. Cover the skillet with a lid for about 2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • Place the cheesy beef and veggie mixture onto your hoagie rolls.
  • Optionally, drizzle with your favorite sauces or add optional toppings before serving.

Notes

Swap proteins with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Add mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and texture.
