Toppings and Seasoning

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted for brushing and golden tops
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard brightens the richness
  • 1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard (optional) adds texture and tang
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional) classic topping for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce subtle umami lift
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder pantry magic for savory depth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped for freshness on top

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish or rimmed sheet with parchment for easy cleanup.
  • Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves snugly in the dish.
  • Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each bottom half.
  • Layer the ham evenly over the rolls, folding slices as needed.
  • Top the ham with Swiss cheese, covering the surface.
  • Place the top halves of the rolls on, pressing gently.
  • In a small bowl, whisk melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, parsley, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Brush this mixture over the tops of the sliders and sprinkle poppy seeds if using.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Uncover and bake another 2–5 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven, let rest for 2 minutes, then slice between the rolls and serve warm.

Notes

These sliders are versatile; you can swap ingredients for healthier options, make them mini or jumbo, and even turn them into a breakfast slider with the addition of an egg.
