  • 2 pieces Chicken Breasts Juicy and tender; chicken thighs can also be used.
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce Use low-sodium for less salt.
  • 1/4 cup Honey Natural sweetener for caramelization.
  • 1/4 cup Pineapple Juice Fresh is best, canned works in a pinch.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Freshly minced for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, minced Freshly minced enhances aroma.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds For garnish with added crunch.
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions, chopped For a fresh garnish.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, pineapple juice, minced garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
  • Slice chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of oil.
  • Once the pan is hot, add the chicken pieces and sear until golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

For added spice, consider adding red pepper flakes or Sriracha. You can also substitute chicken with firm tofu for a vegetarian option.
