Preparation

  • Minced the garlic and measure your honey and soy sauce.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Sear the seasoned chicken in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • While the chicken is cooking, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a bowl.
  • Once the chicken is browned, pour the honey garlic mixture over the chicken.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • Remove the chicken from heat, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Drizzle extra sauce over the top if desired.

Notes

Tip: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat. For added color and nutrition, toss in veggies like broccoli during simmering.
