  • 1 cup honey local honey adds a lovely flavor
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced more if you're a garlic lover
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari for a gluten-free option
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar for a touch of tanginess
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika smoked paprika for a deeper flavor
  • Salt, to taste if your soy sauce is low-sodium, you may want a bit more

Garnish

  • Fresh chopped green onions or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel. If there’s a membrane on the back of the ribs, peel it off.
  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, ground black pepper, and paprika.

Cooking

  • Place the ribs on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Generously brush the sauce mixture over the ribs.
  • Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until tender.
  • Remove the foil and baste the ribs with additional sauce. Broil for an additional 5–10 minutes.
  • Let the ribs rest before cutting into portions. Drizzle extra glaze over the top and garnish.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate the ribs in the honey garlic sauce overnight in the fridge. Use a meat thermometer to ensure ribs are properly cooked (190°F/88°C for tenderness).
