Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage links (chicken, pork, or your favorite alternative) Choose what you love—spicy, sweet, or savory!
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced Adds a pop of color and sweetness.
  • 1 red onion, cut into wedges For a rich, caramelized flavor.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh or frozen work wonders.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic equates to depth and flavor.
  • 1/3 cup honey Sweetness that balances the savoriness of the sausage.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce For that umami kick; low sodium can be used too.
  • to taste olive oil A drizzle for sautéing and extra flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for rounding out the flavors.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). This will create that perfect roasting environment.
  • Prepare the Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. The combination forms a deliciously sticky glaze that’s impossible to resist.
  • Arrange the Ingredients: On a large baking sheet, spread the sliced sausages, bell peppers, red onion, and broccoli. Don’t overcrowd; give each ingredient room to caramelize.
  • Drizzle and Toss: Drizzle olive oil over the veggies and sausages. Pour your honey-garlic mixture evenly over the top, and with clean hands, toss everything together until coated.
  • Season: Sprinkle salt and pepper to your liking. The salt will enhance the flavors beautifully.
  • Bake: Place the sheet pan in your preheated oven and let it roast for 20–25 minutes. Halfway through, give it a gentle stir to ensure even cooking.
  • Serve: Once everything is beautifully caramelized and cooked through, take it out of the oven and let it sit for a couple of minutes. This lets the juices settle, enriching each bite.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through, or pop them in the microwave for a quick fix.
