Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 slices Shokupan (Japanese Milk Bread) Soft and fluffy; can substitute with any soft sandwich bread.
  • 8 oz Fresh Strawberries Sweet and juicy; can substitute with any berry of your choice.
  • 1 cup Whipping Cream Light and airy; dairy-free alternative can work.
  • 1 tbsp Sugar Use honey or maple syrup as a natural alternative.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Adds depth; omit if you prefer a purer strawberry flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash strawberries thoroughly and slice them into thin pieces. Set aside to dry.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold in the sliced strawberries into the whipped cream, ensuring they are well-coated.
  • Take two slices of soft Shokupan and spread the fruity cream onto one slice, then top with the other slice.
  • Lightly press the sandwich down and cut the edges off for a polished look if desired.
  • Repeat the process with remaining ingredients.
  • Wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, make sure the mixing bowl and beaters are chilled. Use ripe strawberries for enhanced sweetness.
