  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade mix Convenient and flavorful, or whip up your own blend.
  • 12 small corn or flour tortillas Choose based on your preference.

  • Sour cream Substitutable with Greek yogurt for a healthier twist.

Cooking Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil and sauté the diced onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic, stirring until fragrant.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Drain excess grease if necessary, then stir in the taco seasoning. Add a splash of water (about 1/4 cup) and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • While your beef simmers, warm your tortillas in a separate pan or microwave until soft and pliable.
  • Fill each tortilla with a generous scoop of beef, then load on your favorite toppings.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding diced bell peppers or corn during the beef sautéing phase. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or frozen for 3 months.
