Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats The base of our dish.
  • 2 cups milk or non-dairy milk Almond or oat milk can be used.
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt Adds protein and creaminess.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey Sweetens the dish naturally.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt

Fruits and Nuts

  • 1 cup dried fruits (cranberries, dates, raisins) Feel free to use your favorite mix.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds) Can be substituted with seeds for allergies.

Flavor Enhancers

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Essential for that warm flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the oats, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, Greek yogurt, and maple syrup/honey.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients, folding in the dried fruits and nuts.
  • Grease a baking dish, then pour the mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the oats have set.
  • Allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Don’t overbake and check it a few minutes before the time is up to avoid dry oatmeal. You can also add fresh fruit just before serving for an extra burst of flavor.
