Preparation

  • Start by taking the ribeye steaks out of the fridge about 30 minutes before grilling.
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture generously all over the steaks.

Grilling

  • Preheat your grill to high heat.
  • Place the seasoned steaks on the grill and let them sear for about 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  • Carefully turn the steaks over using tongs. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare or until your desired doneness.
  • During the last minute, consider adding a pat of butter on top for a luxurious finish.

Finishing Touches

  • Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes.

Notes

Store leftover sliced steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of broth or water.
