  • 12 pieces slider buns Soft and fluffy buns for cradling fillings.
  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin) Choice of meat for maximum flavor.
  • 1 medium onion Sliced for sautéing.
  • 1 medium bell pepper Sliced for sautéing.
  • 8 slices provolone cheese Classic cheese topping; can substitute with mozzarella.
  • 2 tablespoons butter For brushing on the buns.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For seasoning.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté sliced onion and bell pepper until soft and slightly caramelized.
  • Increase heat to high, add the sliced steak, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Slice slider buns in half and spread butter on the cut sides, then place them in a baking dish.
  • Layer the cooked steak and veggies on the bottom half of the buns and top with provolone cheese.
  • Close the buns with the top halves, brush melted butter on top, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove foil and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Slice into sliders and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 10 minutes.
