  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil Authentic Korean flavor.
  • Chopped Green Onions, for garnish Provides fresh crunch before serving.

Korean BBQ Sauce

  • 1 batch Homemade or store-bought Korean BBQ Sauce Use according to your preference.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
  • In a bowl, combine minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Mix until the sugar dissolves.
  • Place the ribs in a resealable bag or baking dish, pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are coated. Marinate for at least an hour or overnight.

Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Place the marinated ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet, cover with foil, and bake for 2 hours.
  • After baking, remove foil and brush a generous layer of Korean BBQ sauce onto the ribs. Return to the oven for an additional 20-30 minutes.
  • Allow ribs to rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and sprinkle with chopped green onions.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, add a dash of liquid smoke to marinade. To make the recipe healthier, use lean pork cuts and substitute brown sugar with honey. Try adding gochujang for a spicy kick. Serve with steamed rice and pickled vegetables for a complete meal.
