  • 1/2 cup Butter Unsalted is ideal to control the flavor.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Adds a delightful aromatic depth — feel free to adjust!
  • 1 large lemon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for a bright, tangy punch.
  • Lemon Zest A touch of zest brightens the sauce immensely.
  • Parsley, for garnish Fresh chopped parsley adds vibrant color and freshness to the dish.

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides generously with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until it starts to bubble.
  • Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the pan, skin-side down. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes, allowing the edges to sear beautifully.
  • Carefully flip the salmon using a spatula. Add the minced garlic and the remaining butter to the pan. The butter will bubble and release a nutty aroma.
  • Squeeze the lemon juice over the salmon, then sprinkle the zest on top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Slide the salmon onto serving plates, drizzle with the buttery sauce from the pan, and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Notes

Storage: Let the salmon cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat. For best results, add a dab of butter to keep it moist.
