Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef A good quality beef ensures juicy, flavorful sliders.

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For an aromatic boost that many crave.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Enhances the savory flavor profile.
  • to taste salt Essential for seasoning.
  • to taste pepper Essential for seasoning.
  • slider buns Look for soft, fluffy buns—potato buns work beautifully!
  • cheese slices (optional) Cheddar or American for a melty addition.
  • condiments Ketchup, mustard, and your favorite toppings like pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Substitutions

  • ground turkey or chicken Can replace beef for a healthier option.
  • black bean patties or mushroom caps Could be delightful veggie alternatives.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Get it nice and hot—it’s key for that perfect sear!
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to combine without overworking the meat.
  • Shape the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should yield about 6-8 sliders, depending on your preference.

Cooking

  • Place the patties on your grill or skillet. Let them cook undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  • If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt beautifully.
  • Toast your slider buns on the grill or in the oven for a minute or two until golden brown.
  • Assemble your sliders: Place your beef patty on a bun, add condiments and toppings of choice, and top with the other half of the bun.

Notes

Personalizing your sliders is part of the fun! Consider adding jalapeños for a spicy twist or topping with avocado and crispy bacon. Store any unassembled sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze cooked sliders for up to 3 months.
