Preparation

  • Begin by thinly slicing your flank steak against the grain. Chop the bell peppers and onion into strips, and mince the garlic.
  • Layer the beef, peppers, onion, and garlic into the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, cornstarch, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour this mixture over the meat and veggies.

Cooking

  • Set your slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • For a thicker sauce, combine a little more cornstarch with cold water and stir into the slow cooker for the last 30 minutes.
  • Once cooked, give everything a gentle stir and serve it over rice or noodles.
