  • 2 pounds Chicken breasts Feel free to use thighs for juiciness.
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese Low-fat versions work too.
  • 1 cup Salsa Choose your favorite brand or homemade.
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese Grated; sharp or mild.
  • 1 cup Creamy cheese sauce Enhances the richness.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Adjust to your spice tolerance.
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder Adjust to your spice tolerance.
  • 2 green onions Green onions Chopped for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Spread the cream cheese evenly over the chicken.
  • Pour the salsa on top, followed by the creamy cheese sauce.
  • Sprinkle your chosen spices over the mixture.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours, or on high for 1.5-2 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken right in the slow cooker using two forks.
  • Mix everything together until well-combined.
  • Stir in the grated cheese, allowing it to melt into the dip.

Serving

  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, veggies, or your favorite dipper.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add diced jalapeƱos or hot sauce. Substitute cream cheese with Greek yogurt for a lighter version. You can also add black beans or corn.
