  • 4 cups Cabbage, chopped The star of the show!

  • 1 cup Bell Peppers, sliced Any color will do.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Healthy option for sautéing.

Preparation

  • Slice the smoked sausage into half-moons, chop the cabbage into thin strips, dice the onion, and slice the bell peppers into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  • Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the sausage slices and cook until golden brown, about 5–7 minutes.
  • Toss in the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for another 2–3 minutes, until fragrant and translucent.
  • Stir in the cabbage and bell peppers. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the cabbage softens but retains a slight crunch.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to swap in any veggies you have on hand. For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños. Consider stirring in fresh parsley or dill just before serving for an aromatic finish. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days, or freeze for up to three months.
