Sliders

  • 1 cup shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce Crisp freshness to cut the heat.
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded cheddar Blue cheese is classic, cheddar is milder.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium skillet over low heat, melt the butter and whisk in the hot sauce, honey (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper until glossy.
  • Stir in the shredded chicken until every strand is coated in the sauce. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until heated through.
  • While the chicken simmers, split the slider buns and toast them lightly until golden on the cut side.

Assembly

  • Spread a thin layer of Greek yogurt or mayonnaise on the bottom bun, pile on the saucy chicken, sprinkle with blue cheese or cheddar, add lettuce and celery, and finish with the top bun.
  • Press gently and secure with a toothpick if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; keep buns separate to avoid sogginess. You can also freeze the sauced chicken in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
