Ingredients
  

For the Ribs

  • 2 to 3 pounds pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For rubbing
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika For barbecue flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Adjust for heat preference
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for extra heat
  • 1 cup your favorite barbecue sauce For basting, homemade or store-bought

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Rinse and pat dry the pork ribs. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better seasoning absorption and tenderness.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  • Rub the olive oil over the ribs. Then generously sprinkle your spice mixture evenly over both sides, rubbing it in with your hands.
  • Tightly wrap the seasoned ribs in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake in the oven for about 2 to 2.5 hours.
  • Once the ribs are tender, carefully unwrap them and brush on your favorite barbecue sauce.
  • Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven uncovered for about 10-15 minutes.
  • After removing from the oven, let the ribs sit for a few minutes before cutting.
  • Cut the ribs between the bones into individual servings and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the fridge or freeze for up to three months. To reheat, use a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C).
