Dough and Spread

  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough For convenience. You can also make your own dough.
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Adds richness. Greek yogurt can be used for a lighter version.

Fillings

  • 1 cup pepperoni, sliced Use regular or spicy varieties, or swap for turkey pepperoni.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Can substitute with dairy-free cheese if needed.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Fresh herbs like basil or oregano can enhance flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust based on spice tolerance.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Spread the softened cream cheese evenly over the entire dough rectangle.
  • Evenly distribute the pepperoni slices over the cream cheese.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella and Italian seasoning.
  • From one end, gently roll the dough into a tight log and seal the edges.
  • Cut the log into 1-inch thick slices.
  • Arrange the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for about 10 minutes.
