  • 1 bunch Asparagus Fresh and bright; substitute with green beans or snap peas if desired.
  • 2 packs Ramen Noodles Feel free to use whole grain or gluten-free options.
  • 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce Store-bought for convenience or homemade for a personal touch.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Chopped for garnish.
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds Toasted for an extra layer of nuttiness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Slice the steak thinly against the grain and marinate it in a couple of tablespoons of teriyaki sauce for about 10 minutes.
  • Bring a pot of water to boil and cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat a splash of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes until browned, turning occasionally.
  • Toss in the asparagus and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes, until the asparagus is bright green and tender-crisp.
  • Reduce the heat and add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet. Pour in the remaining teriyaki sauce, tossing everything to coat evenly.
  • Once everything is heated through, garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicy kick, include a splash of sriracha or red pepper flakes while cooking. This dish also works well with other proteins like chicken, shrimp, or tofu, and can be enhanced with baby spinach or kale for extra nutrients.
