Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 package (9 oz) Tortellini, fresh or frozen Spinach-and-cheese or mushroom-filled varieties work beautifully.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream This is what will make your sauce luxuriously creamy.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated For a sharp tang, try Pecorino Romano.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Gives the sauce depth and aromatic warmth.
  • 4 tablespoons Butter This is the base for your sauce; it's where magic starts!
  • Salt and Pepper To taste. You can also add a pinch of nutmeg to elevate the flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. As it bubbles, the rich aroma will start to fill your kitchen.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan until it melts into the sauce.
  • Gently toss the cooked tortellini in the Alfredo sauce, ensuring each piece is coated.
  • Taste and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg if desired.
  • Plate it up while it’s hot and serve.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm gently on the stovetop over low heat, adding cream or milk as needed.
