Preparation

  • In a large pot, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the beef stew meat and sear until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes until they become translucent.
  • Add the diced carrots and celery, cooking for another 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Pour in the beef broth and canned tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
