  • 8 ounces Velveeta cheese The star of the show! Provides smooth and creamy consistency.
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips For that indulgent chocolate flavor.
  • 3 cups powdered sugar Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For a lovely aroma and flavor.
  • optional chopped nuts Walnuts or pecans for some crunch.

Preparation

  • Prepare an 8-inch square baking dish by lining it with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easier removal.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the Velveeta cheese and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir gently until melted and creamy.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and sift the powdered sugar into the mixture. Add vanilla extract and stir until fully incorporated.
  • Fold in the chopped nuts, if using, until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Let it cool to room temperature before refrigerating for a couple of hours to set.
  • Once firm, lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang and cut it into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or in the freezer for up to three months. Thaw in the fridge before serving. Don't rush the setting for clean cuts and a beautiful finish.
